Michael Ingersoll and the Stars of JERSEY BOYS are Lighting up the Grand!
"You won't get this downtown," Michael Ingersoll noted regarding his show at the Wheaton Grand Theater in January. "This is especially for you guys."
Michael Ingersoll is stepping out in "Under the Streetlamp" an Intimate Evening with the Four Stars of the Chicago Production of Jersey Boys to raise funds for the Wheaton Grand Theater Restoration Project.
The amazing Michael Ingersoll, (Nick Massi of The Four Seasons in Broadway in Chicago's Jersey Boys) is the centerpiece of the group, but that's only the beginning. He brings with him the other members of the Jersey Boys Chicago cast, John Michael Dias, Shonn Wiley and Michael Cunio. With a 7-piece jazz orchestra, Michael and the boys are going to rock and swing one night only at the Wheaton Grand Theatre until the roof comes down. Performing the music of the 50s and 60s era doo-wop, Rat Pack favorites, and a few surprises, this will be one incredible show. Stories of performing on Oprah Winfrey, the Emmy Awards, and his time backstage with musical legend Tony Bennett make this an unforgettable night.
Don't miss your chance to meet one of today's hottest Broadway in Chicago stars! See the building one last time before it is restored and don't miss this unique and intimate concert at the Grand. The Chicago production of Jersey Boys will have closed by then, but the leading cast will reunite for one last time to help save the Wheaton Grand Theatre.
Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 7:00 pm.
House will open at 6:30 pm.
Tickets are $100 each and limited to 400. Want to meet the boys before or after the show? Ask us how... For more information on the fundraiser please contact Tim at tim@downtownwheaton.com or 630-682-0633.
When The Wheaton Grand Theatre opened its doors on May 25, 1925, it was a landmark event that brought theatrical excitement from the major cities into the western suburbs. Designed by Chicago architect, Norman Brydges, The Wheaton Grand was a showcase theatre where talented vaudeville performers graced the stage, silent movies brought laughter and tears to the screen. The Wheaton Grand is an architectural treasure that has survived when many other theatres have not, thanks to the dedication of volunteers who have taken up the challenge to restore The Grand to its former glory.
Once restored, the magnificent Wheaton Grand Theatre will become the main attraction for the western suburbs by presenting the finest live entertainment at exceptional values.
